The Hand of God
When you look at your hand, the Code of God appears. Four fingers, three laws each. The thumb, two circles. Fourteen — written in your own body.

The code of God appears in your own hand
You do not need a temple, a scroll, or a diagram. Hold up your hand. The code is already there, written in bone. The Hand of God is not above you. It is in your palm, waiting to be counted.
Documented record Anatomy is exact. The hand carries fourteen phalanges: four fingers with three finger bones each, and a thumb with two. (4 × 3) + 2 = 14. The metacarpals and carpals of the palm are separate bones — the counting unit never changes: finger bones.
In the class, this count was one exhibit among many. Here it is the whole point. The anatomy is fact. The meaning drawn from it is spiritual interpretation. That is exactly how it should be: a structure you can count, and a code you can hold.
Seven laws. Four fingers. Three each.
Tradition The seven Hermetic laws have been preserved as a teaching structure since The Kybalion (1908). The class holds them as seven headings — 3 + 4 = 7: three ways of examining experience, applied across four themes of it.

Mentalism — examine the story. Correspondence — compare patterns. Vibration — attend to movement. Three lenses, three phalanges per finger.

The multiplication counts the pairings — each lens applied to each theme. Seven principles do not mathematically turn into twelve principles. This is what the multiplication counts.

Count it before you use it. Three row headings plus four column headings gives seven headings: 3 + 4 = 7. Their intersections give twelve relationships: 3 × 4 = 12. The multiplication counts the pairings — each of three lenses applied to each of four themes.
The thumb is the inner and outer circle
Four fingers, three each — that is the twelve. But the hand does not end there. The thumb carries two. And those two are not bones in the counting. They are the two circles.

Connection with the greater whole, relationship and participation.
Practical question: “How does my choice honor the lives and relationships it affects?”
The thumb is the end of the arm — the place where the counting structure meets the body that holds it. Multiplying by one changes nothing. Adding one is a choice. The choice to include the relationship — within and beyond — is the point.
Hold it open, and let it flow
Counting the code is the first half. The second half is how you hold the hand.
Working hypothesis An open hand receives, carries, and releases. When you grab onto things with your hand, you end up losing them or crushing them. The fist holds the code — and closes it. The open hand holds the code — and lets it work.
The practice is not about feeling the bones. It is about holding the fourteen in awareness at once — the twelve pairings, the two circles — and keeping the hand open underneath them. What flows through you, flows. What you clamp, dies.
00:00–01:00
Open your hand, palm up. Count the fourteen under your awareness: four fingers, three bones each; the thumb, two. Trace the digits on your own hand. You do not need to feel every bone.
01:00–02:00
Keep the hand open. Ask the inner question: “What can I notice, own, and choose here?” Let the answer pass through — not out through the fist, but through the open palm.
02:00–03:00
Ask the outer question: “How does my next action honor the lives and relationships it affects?”
Debrief: “What did you actually notice?” Write one sentence. That sentence is the resonance of what you are.
Go back to Exhibit C. Select one cell from each of the three rows and write the answer. For the class, that selection is the assignment; for the life, it is the return point. The full twelve is yours to return to — one pairing at a time, the hand kept open.
